On December 1, 2020, the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship (CICW) announced that it will fund 17 grants to Teacher-Scholars for 2021-2022 as part of its Vital Worship Grants Program.
We are delighted to announce that DIU faculty member Beth Argot, Ph.D., was among those selected to receive a Teacher-Scholar Vital Worship Grant for her work in spiritual formation among Dallas International University students, faculty, and staff.
“How we know and relate to God determines so much of how we handle life,” Dr. Argot writes. With that in mind, Dr. Argot started this program in 2019 with a focus on attrition among cross-cultural workers, all with the goal of preparing students spiritually for the field. This has since grown into a focus on resilience studies and attempts to help members of our community address how to handle challenges encountered in ministry on the field and in life. We are grateful for her work and for the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship’s investment in our community.
