In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word. (Psalm 56:10)
The mission and legacy of Dallas International University has always been connected to Scripture and a desire to learn it well and communicate it through other languages and cultures. This is a compelling reason to exist as an institution of higher learning, and we are privileged to share about what is happening on our campus and through our academic programs. Next week, Tonia and I will be traveling to California for a family reunion where Tonia’s great aunt will be celebrating her 100th birthday. What a milestone! We will then spend the week visiting friends, DIU advocates, and other institutions to share about DIU programs and the rich education our students can experience as part of God’s plan for their spiritual formation and technical training.
Towards the end of our trip, we are looking forward to visiting with Dr. Corey at our alma mater, Biola University. We’re looking forward to learning more about Biola’s incredible legacy and vision for the future. After that, I am putting together a reunion with friends from my Biblical Greek classes while at Biola in the late 1980’s. Our professor, Dr. S., passed last year, and he was highly influential in our spiritual lives during those years as undergrads. We are looking forward to remembering together how God used him to grow us in our faith.
Paz,
Scott
