WE CAN’T DO IT ALONE!

Helping Hands Scholarship Matching Campaign

Many of our students rely upon the generosity of family and friends to sustain them throughout their degree program and their cross-cultural service around the world. Many support families, carry heavy course loads, and even work part-time to make ends meet. Sometimes, it doesn’t all add up.

That’s where the new Helping Hands Scholarship, established by generous friends of Dallas International University, comes in. This fund is being established to assist exceptional graduate students whose critical financial need could hinder their ability to pursue and complete their educational program and begin serving cross-culturally.

You could be part of helping them finish well and begin their next steps sooner!

  • Your gifts to the Helping Hands Scholarship Matching Campaign will be matched dollar for dollar to help us meet our goal of $25,000.
  • Every dollar given enables DIU to ensure that students can finish strong and impact the world.

Thank you for giving to Dallas International University and for being part of extending a hand to world-changers in preparation.

IN THE WAITING

They’ve graduated, they’ve completed their partnership development, they’ve finished their health and wellness checks, and they’ve made their plans. But for many of our alumni, the doors are still closed to the countries in which they hope to serve because of pandemic shutdowns.

We frequently read prayer requests from them for their hearts in this season of waiting and so much unknown. This month, we’d like to invite you to join us in praying for them. We believe so much in these amazing people who have committed their lives to the Lord’s service, and we believe in the power of God to move on their behalf.

Please join us in praying for:

  • Their hearts as they wait for open doors. Pray for hope, patience, and deeper growth as they depend on God to do what only He can do.
  • Their relationships and partnerships. Pray for connections and friendships that will sustain them through their lifetimes and for the financial support they need to begin their field-work.
  • The communities they will eventually serve. Pray for hearts to be open and ready for the hope and truth of God’s word. Pray for local partners who will join the work.
  • Dallas International University. Pray for us as we continue to educate students to be highly qualified for cross-cultural service worldwide.

THE FACE OF A SCHOLARSHIP

Every dollar given to Dallas International University has a face attached. Your gifts directly impact students who directly impact communities all around the world. Our alumni receive their education at Dallas International University and serve marginalized language communities in every continent except Antarctica. Truly, your gifts have a ripple effect that goes on into eternity. It often starts with one scholarship.

This month, we’d like to share a little of Josué’s story. Josué and his family moved to Dallas from Brazil several years ago to begin studying Bible translation. He received scholarships through people like you, who made it possible for him to pursue God’s call.

To hear the story in his own words visit https://tinyurl.com/josuesjourney! Thank you for giving to scholarships at Dallas International University. Your gifts make all the difference for students preparing for cross-cultural service in the name of Jesus!
