Connie joined the Student Services team in 2018. She brings extensive overseas experience which makes her the perfect fit for working with Int’l students. She went to Papua New Guinea in 1983 with her husband (Chumley) and 3 small children and taught secondary choir at Ukarumpa Int’l School until 1996. Connie and Chumley returned to the USA during their children’s college years. They worked at the Wycliffe USA headquarters when it was located in Southern California, close to her college age daughters. Then in 1999, the Eckerles moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand to help with the start up of Grace Int’l School. Connie served in many capacities, including Elementary Principal, Librarian, started the Elementary music program and the secondary choral program. She is especially proud of the choirs she developed over the 19 years they worked in Thailand. They have now resettled here to continue serving on the ILC in a new capacity.
Other interesting Facts
Connie loves gardening, reading, puzzling, singing with a good choir and spending time with the 3 grand girls that live in Fort Worth. Her other 4 grand girls live in Mozambique with their parents who serve with WorldVenture. Nothing brings her greater joy than pouring into her grand kids’ lives!
