In recognition of Dr. Marvin K. Mayers’, teaching, writing, research and visionary leadership in the field of anthropology studies, the Board of Trustees of the Dallas International University (Dallas International), established the Marvin K. Mayers Faculty Chair of Applied Anthropology in 2012.
Through the generosity of Lisa and Kenny Troutt, who opened their gorgeous home for the event, Jennie and Tom Gilchrist launched “Broadway at the Troutt’s”. It was a fun and entertaining evening benefiting Dallas International student aid and scholarships.
Dallas International hosted a luncheon at the Museum of Biblical Art in Dallas honoring W.W. “Bill” Caruth III, Dallas International’s Board of Trustees Chairman. Bill was honored for his long time of service to Dallas International. He has been a part of Dallas International’s board since its founding fifteen years ago and was elected chairman in 2001. His unwavering support has been instrumental to Dallas International’s success.
Starting Fall 2014, undergraduate students will arrive on campus to complete a BA with a major in International Service. Minors in the program include Linguistics, World Arts, and Cross-cultural Service.
