Our first biannual, in-house academic conference was a great success! We had virtual presentations from at least three countries, including topics such as:
- Articulation Is Not Enough: Prosody in Northern Pame Acquisition
- Local Arts as Responsive Modalities in Times of Crisis
- A Grammatical Sketch of the Kalasha Language Using the Role and Reference Grammar Framework
- Interreligious Ethnodoxology: An Exploration of Artistic Faith Practices in Zen Buddhism and Sufi Islam
- Negotiating conflicts between phonology and orthographic convention: the case of final obstruent devoicing in Uyghur
- Mande Balafon Artistic Tradition: Creating Enduring Legacy of the Oral Story Telling
- The Afizere Asharuwa Dance of Central Nigeria: A Preliminary Overview
- Long Vowel Co-Occurrence Restrictions in Arabic Nouns
- Comparing Artistic Features in Proverbs Cross-Linguistically: A Pilot Study
Many thanks to all who coordinated and participated to make this a success. See you again in 2022!
